Chicago-based Ken Morris has been called “a clear voice with heart”, but it’s heart with an edge! Ken has been entertaining audiences in the Chicago area for over 30 years with his wit, unique, intricate fingerpicking guitar style and soulful voice.
Ken believes that music and artistic inspiration, the ability to create melodies and songs from something we feel in our hearts is a tremendous gift, a way we can truly feel the hand of God.
“I’ve always been fascinated by the creative process and while I don’t completely understand it, I love the different ways inspiration appears, some of them quite unexpected.”
Ken has been a key player in the Working Women’s History Project Theatre Group, which tells the stories of Chicago women who have struggled to achieve rights and benefits for women in the workplace and in other social arenas. He can be found acting in plays, arranging and performing songs, and often working behind the scenes.
Having written hundreds of songs, scored plays and short films, recorded numerous albums and more, Ken is a truly versatile and strong singer-songwriter.
